From San Francisco:
  • Take Highway 101 N to the River Road/Guerneville exit (north of Santa Rosa)
  • Take the exit RIVER RD / GUERNEVILLE.
  • Turn RIGHT onto MARK WEST SPRINGS RD. -- drive 5.4 miles
  • MARK WEST SPRINGS RD becomes PORTER CREEK RD. -- drive 4.6 miles
  • Turn LEFT at stop sign onto PETRIFIED FOREST RD.-- drive 4.4 miles
  • Turn LEFT at stop sign onto FOOTHILL BLVD / CA-128 -- drive 0.7 miles
  • Turn RIGHT at stop sign onto TUBBS LN.-- drive 1.3 miles to stop sign
  • Turn LEFT at stop sign onto CA-29 / LAKE COUNTY HWY / CALISTOGA GRADE RD. Continue to follow CA-29 to Middletown--14.9 miles
  • Turn LEFT at the stoplight in Middletown onto Hwy 175. Follow Hwy 175 up the mountain, pass through the town of Cobb.
  • NCVC is about 5 miles north of the town of Cobb (about 2 miles north of Loch Lomond which is basically just a deli/grocery). Approximately 2 miles after Loch Lomond you will pass Mariah Meadows, a collection of white cabins--mostly on the left--keep on the lookout for the NCVC sign (also on the left) just around the sharp bend. (Across the street is a big open area.) Please turn left through the first gate, at the sign. Address is 10343 Hwy 175.
  • Drive time is approximately 2 hours, 15 minutes if there is no traffic.
From the East Bay:
You may take Richmond bridge to Hwy 101 and proceed north according to the directions given for the route from San Francisco.

If you want to avoid rush hour traffic on Hwy 101, you may want to take this alternate route from the East Bay:
  • Take Hwy 80 East through Oakland and Berkeley for about 21 miles to Hwy 37 West (Marine World Parkway)
  • Take Hwy 37 for .2 miles
  • Turn right onto Fairgrounds Drive, go about 1.5 miles to American Canyon Road West
  • Turn left on American Canyon Road W, go about .5 mile to Hwy 29. Then drive for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Take right fork onto Hwy 221 to Napa, and follow signs to Silverado Trail. Stay on the Silverado trail (be sure to turn left at Trancas, and then immediately right again onto Silverado trail on the outskirts of Napa) and stay on the Silverado Trail to Calistoga.
  • Turn right onto Hwy 29, then follow Hwy 29 to Middletown.
  • Turn left onto Hwy 175 at the light in downtown Middletown.
  • Follow 175 through Cobb to NCVC. (You will pass the Loch Lomond intersection after 2 miles from Cobb, in another 2 miles you will pass Mariah Meadows Resort.
  • Turn left at 10343 Hwy 175 (past Mariah Meadows Resort)
NCVC is about 5 miles north of the town of Cobb (about 2 miles north of Loch Lomond which is basically just a deli/grocery). From Eureka
  • We recommend taking 101 to the Highway 20 exit (north of Ukiah)
  • Take Hwy 20 to Hwy 29 and turn right (south).
  • Continue on Highway 29, past Lakeport
  • A few miles past Kelseyville, turn right on 175 and go about 6-7 miles
  • You will see the Sunrise Vista sign and a row of mailboxes on the right as you come around a corner.
  • There are three gates; please enter the southern one or the middle one. There is a big meadow across the street. If you come to a sign for Mariah Meadows (or Loch Lomond) you've gone too far.
  • Drive time is approximately 3 hours 30 minutes.
From Interstate Highway 5:
  • Take Highway 20 West at Williams towards Clear Lake for 31.8 miles.
  • Turn left onto Highway 53 and go about 7 and a half miles to Lower Lake.
  • Turn right at Highway 29/Lower Lake Rd and go another 7 and a half miles.
  • Turn left onto Red Hills road and go about 2 miles.
  • Turn left onto Highway 175 and go about 3 and a half miles.
  • You will see the NCVC sign and a row of mailboxes on the right as you come around a corner. Please enter at the marked entrance on the right after passing 2 closed gates. There is a big meadow across the street. If you come to a sign for Mariah Meadows or Loch Lomond, you have gone too far.

    Drive time is approximately 1 hour 5 minutes.
Lake County Public Transportation:

There is limited public transportation in Lake County and no public transportation from Sonoma County to Lake County. If you need a ride we suggest that you contact the rideshare board once you have been confirmed for a course. You will receive rideshare information in your confirmation.
